West Hartford Rainstorm Flooded Basement

What Happened?

SERVPRO recently received a call for a West Hartford rainstorm flooded basement. Somehow this homeowner’s garage door was left a bit open by someone in the family. The rainstorm then created a torrential downpour that flooded the garage which then flowed into the extended basement office area with rug floors. The homeowner was devastated that this was happening when they called for storm damage services after finding SERVPRO in their “storm damage companies” search online. But assuring them that we are faster to any disaster and letting them know that a team would be dispatched shortly, they were put to ease. Even though they had to shut their office down immediately with outlets being used at risk, they put their trust in SERVPRO faithfully.

Our team arrived shortly after the storm came to a stop. They then began the inspection and storm damage assessment. Afterward, we brought the water removal and extraction equipment removing as much as possible from this West Hartford rainstorm flooded basement. With the carpet being soaked still, we began our Drying and Dehumidification process. We removed the affected carpets, monitored the floors and walls, measured their moisture levels, and brought in the industrial-grade dehumidifiers to help prevent and secondary water damage.

How did we do?

Overall, this West Hartford rainstorm flooded basement was taken care of with ease. We were able to rapidly dry all the carpets, floors, and walls with our high-speed air movers to take care to take care of the last of the water damage and leftover moisture. This homeowner who also is a business owner was very happy with the results and the time it took, it was “Like it never even happened.”
